TAST algerian eye

Well it's time for another stitch in SharonB's TAST challenge. This week it's the algerian eye stitch. I wasn't real thrilled to see this one as I don't even own any counted thread fabric or canvas - I really prefer freestyle surface embroidery. But I like the way it came out - even though for the most part I just did quarters of the stitch.

They are all beautiful, but the middle, round ones really appeal to me. I don't have any aida or other counted thread either, so this is very encouraging to me. =)

I had the same thought... I have been doing freeform stitching so have been thinking about how to do these freeform. Yours look good - great patterns. I particularly like the last one.
