The White Rabbit

Like I said in a previous post, I'm busy with VBS this week, so I have no time to stitch the 100 Details. Just thought I'd post this pic of some silk embroidery I did. I used buttonhole twist for this, sometimes separating it into 3 strands, then ironing it and stitching with just one strand(!).

This is a button that's about 3" in diameter. I used to belong to a Button Collectors Club. I have a collection of beautiful antique buttons, some that were my Grandmothers. Sometimes people would ask me to embroider them a button with a certain picture, so they could have a whole set of, say peacock buttons. This was one I did for myself.....

Wow, I'm impressed with your patience, as well as your stitchery! He's wonderful! I cannot imagine doing this, except maybe by machine. =) Did you make a set of Alice buttons?

Enjoy VBS. It's kind of late in the summer for it, but maybe your school schedule is more traditional.

Hi Susan,
Thanks. I didn't make a set of Alice buttons, but you just gave me an idea for another project! Do you do machine embroidery? Happy Stitching...

The detail on such a small piece is incredible!
